Sunday School Electives

The Sunday School hour is filled with elective-based opportunities to grow spiritually by actively engaging in prayer and studying the Bible with one another. Sunday School Groups meet every Sunday morning from 9:30a to 10:30a before the service. This is a great first step for those who are new at Bethel to connect.

Starting Point

Led by: Pastor Ken in his office located in the main office area near the main, covered entrance.
Description: This is the best first-step for new people to get engaged with the life of the church at Bethel. Pastor Ken will take you through a 4-part teaching of who we are as a church and what we’re doing in Jackson. It’s also a great place to ask questions, get to know Pastor Ken and meet other new people.

The Gospel of John

Led by: Neil Veydt
Location: Fireside room located on the main floor through the Gym.
We will continue our study of the Gospel of John, picking up where we left off before the summer break. We’ll begin with an overview of what we covered previously so we can get everyone up to speed. We’ll then continue starting with John chapter 12 and following.

The Life of David

Led by: Joe Sexton
Location: Fellowship hall downstairs near the covered main entrance.
The Life of David: What it means to be a person after God’s own heart.

Ladies’ Bible Study (Seasonal. Call to confirm scheduled.)

The purpose of the Ladies’ Bible Study is for women to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. The women learn from the Word and from each other, and as a result, their lives are changed. It is the highlight of the week for many of the women who regularly attend. Each meeting begins with coffee and tea, singing and prayer. (Every once in a while there is a special treat to go with the coffee or tea.) Each lesson includes both teaching and discussion, and the time ends with intercession for the personal requests of the women present. The Ladies’ Bible Study meets from 9:55-11 a.m., Tuesdays, in the Fireside Room, located on the Main Level in the West Wing of the church building. The study typically begins meeting sometime in September and runs through the end of May or early June, with time off during the Christmas season. This study is open to women who attend Bethel and friends of those who attend Bethel.

Women’s Prayer

Women’s Prayer group is a place for women to gather to encourage one another and lift their hearts to the Lord in prayer. We meet every Wednesday from 10a-11a at Bethel in the Fireside room, located on Main Level in the West Wing.

Bible Study Fellowship (BSF)

Bethel hosts a number of para-church organization ministries. One of them is Bible Study Fellowship. BSF is a women’s bible study focused on studying the Word of God, Prayer, and relational growth with one another. Call for details and schedules.
